On 7 October, Brussels Jazz Orchestra kicks off the new season in celebration with BJO30, a concert series highlighting the orchestra's 30th anniversary. The tour passes by CC Westrand (Dilbeek, B), Stadsschouwburg Brugge (Bruges, B), Flagey (Brussels, B), CCHA (Hasselt, B), 30CC/Schouwburg (Leuven, B) and DE SINGEL (Antwerp, B).
In December, pianist Gwilym Simcock and BJO share the stage. With harmonic refinement and a subtle blending of musical traditions, this British pianist moves effortlessly between classical and jazz. Together with BJO, he presents a set of compositions for jazz orchestra and solo piano. A wondrous combination which you can witness at Bozar (Brussels, 9 Dec) and Tivoli Vredenburg (Utrecht, 10 Dec).
Spring promises both a new Gainsbourg tour with Camille Bertault and the premiere of Looking Within, a project with Bert Joris and Philippe Thuriot.
