The annual 'Spring Gala' of Jazz at Lincoln Center will be an online event this year: a 'Worldwide Concert for Our Culture'. This Wednesday, April 15th, the concert will be freely broadcasted online to audiences around the world. Through Facebook Live, YouTube and the website of JLC. In Central European Summer Time, this will be Wednesday night, going into Thursday, at 1:30 AM.
Headliner Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis, has invited internationally acclaimed artists from Japan, Brazil, Russia, Pakistan, South Africa, Germany, Belgium, Spain, Italy and the United States to join them for this virtual concert. Brussels Jazz Orchestra is invited as well.
This collaboration follows the concert in February of this year, at BOZAR, Brussels (Belgium). During this 'Big Band Celebration', the two bands performed together on stage. After the concert, Wynton Marsalis expressed his wishes to collaborate with Brussels Jazz Orchestra again.
