Edison Jazz/World Awards

In 2017 the orchestra won an Edison Jazz/World Award in the category "Vocal Jazz" for the album BREL with David Linx.

Grammy Award Nominaties

At the end of 2013 the album “Wild Beauty” was nominated twice for the 56th annual Grammy Awards.

An Oscar and many others...

Brussels Jazz Orchestra performed on the soundtrack of the motion picture The Artist, which received several awards at film festivals worldwide, such as a Golden Globe, a BAFTA, a César  and even an Oscar!

South African Music Award

In May 2011 Tutu Puoane and the Brussels Jazz Orchestra won the South African Music Award with their album ‘Mama Africa’ in the category of “Best Traditional Jazz Album”.

Zilveren Griffel

In 2011 Michael de Cock won the Zilveren Griffel, the most important youth literature award of the Netherlands, with his book 'Vliegen tot de Hemel'. BJO contributed by composing and performing the soundtrack of this audio play.

Cultuurprijs Vlaanderen

In 2006 the Brussels Jazz Orchetsra wins the Cultuurprijs Vlaanderen for Music, awarded by the Minister of Culture Bert Anciaux.
