After the impressive collaboration with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra in 2020 (Bozar, Brussels), the Brussels Jazz Orchestra is once again going for double orchestral power with A Big Band Celebration.
From the inspiring mind of composer Bert Joris flows a series of compositions for double jazz orchestra. A collaboration with the German WDR Big Band, which is among the absolute top in its genre, kicks off the project in 2024 and invites you to an incredible celebration and homage to the format of the jazz orchestra. Collaborations with other orchestras are planned for a later stage.
