Brussels Jazz Orchestra has built up an impressive repertoire over the last few decades. While making a representative selection from this body of work, Frank Vaganée saw the traces in the jazz landscape left by the unusual artistic choices we make – the BJO’s unique ‘footprint’.
Footprint BJO's Finest consists entirely of original compositions, often commissioned by artists the orchestra knows well. It includes works by Kenny Werner, Enrico Pieranunzi, Pierre Drevet, Lode Mertens and others: songs where the joy of playing together is palpable, with the BJO musicians on the edge of their seats. Even more so: with Footprint, Brussels Jazz Orchestra shows what it’s made of – pure class.
