Brussels Jazz Orchestra has built up an impressive repertoire over the last few decades. While making a representative selection from this body of work, Frank Vaganée saw the traces in the jazz landscape left by the unusual artistic choices we make – the BJO’s unique ‘footprint’.
BJO's Finest consists entirely of original compositions, often commissioned by performers the orchestra knows well. It includes works by Kenny Werner, Enrico Pieranunzi, Pierre Drevet, Lode Mertens and others: BJO's Finest presents songs where the joy of playing together is palpable, with the BJO musicians on the edge of their seats.
