Brussels Jazz Orchestra goes back to the roots of big bands, the jazz clubs, showcasing promising talented young people with their roots in Belgium. It’s a way to give today’s upcoming talent, the big names of tomorrow, a springboard. Most of the BJO musicians also teach, so they have daily contacts with the youngest generation of jazz musicians. They’re giving a stage to four exceptionally talented young musicians. The programme includes compositions from the Brussels Jazz Orchestra’s repertoire, as well as works by these young soloists themselves, arranged by BJO musicians or other arrangers. Because The Future is Now.
Soloists (subject to change): Artan Buleshkaj (guitar), Harrison Steingueldoir (piano), Jesse Dockx (drums), Muriel Urquidi (vocals)
