Colombian-born jazz harp virtuoso Edmar Castañeda merges jazz tradition with a wide range of styles and genres. After a Grammy nomination, a musical contribution to the Oscar winning Disney movie Encanto, a Tiny Desk Concert, numerous albums and acclaimed performances around the globe, the harpist joins Brussels Jazz Orchestra on stage. Cuarto de Colores refers to one of the project’s compositions and perfectly illustrates the spirit of this collaboration. BJO and Castañeda invite you to a colourful room, filled with music written for big band and harp and bulking with influences from New York, Colombia, Brazil and Cuba.
