Bring it to the People: the film about the Brussels Jazz Orchestra

On the 12th of January, the premiere of the documentary Bring it to the People: the film about the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, takes place in Flagey. Director Guy Fellemans followed Brussels Jazz Orchestra closely for three years and has created a unique portrait of the orchestra with this film.

It's been more than 25 years since the idea for Brussels Jazz Orchestra was born. With internationally acclaimed projects (just think of the Oscar winning music for The Artist), collaborations with renowned (inter)national artists like Bert Joris, Ambrose Akinmusire and Maria Schenider, but also surprising partners like De Frivole Framboos and DJ Grazzhoppa, the orchestra keeps surprising the audience and exceed expectations.

How do we make our artistic choices? How do we play so tightly as an ensemble? How do the musicians experience working with international artists? And who bluffed their way through their BJO audition?

Discover it all by watching this film!
