  • JazzTimes acclaims Changing Faces (15/01/08)

The trendsetting American publication JazzTimes was highly enthusiastic about the Changing Faces album. "[David Linx] can do it all," writes critic Harvey Siders, "at the highest level of professionalism, like the superb Brussels Jazz Orchestra, a 17-piece band, used to the coloristic effects that accrue from their apparently endless doublings."   • Changing Faces on Portuguese radio (08/01/08)

Ivo Martins, presenter with Portuguese student station Radio Universitária do Minho, was bowled over by Changing Faces and on 23 December devoted an hour's airplay to the album on his programme Baile Dos Bombeiro. The full transmission is available here.

  • Writing Billie poster (30/10/07)

The poster for the Writing Billie project, the show which the BJO produced with Arsenaal, was shortlisted for Best Cultural Posters 2007. The poster was designed by Tom Hautekiet, effectively BJO's in-house designer. Last year the BJO had already been nominated in the top 10 for best poster designs (Countermove poster).

  • Changing Faces is selling like hot cakes (19/10/07)

The new album Changing Faces is number 7 in the Fnac (France) list of best-selling jazz CDs. Furthermore, the album is in 17th position in the overall French best-selling jazz CD charts! Changing Faces is also available for download on iTunes.

  • BJO on iTunes (08/05/07)

Since May some BJO albums can be found on iTunes. The following are already available: The Music of Bert Joris, Naked in the Cosmos, Meeting Colours and Countermove. Search for them under (The) Brussels Jazz Orchestra  or under the name of the guest artist.

  • Writing Billie in De Zevende Dag (22/04/07)

On Friday 20/04 the BJO, together with Bert Joris, Tutu Puoane and six international writers, presented the premiere of Writing Billie at the Passa Porta Festival. Watch the documentary here.

  • Le Monde (18/03/07)

On 15/03/07, the BJO performed with Philip Catherine at a concert in Grenoble, France, as part of the Grenoble Jazz Festival. For this occasion, Parisian paper Le Monde's journalist Francis Marmande travelled to Grenoble to witness the performance. You can read his article here.

  • BJO is awarded the Flanders Culture Prize (5/02/07)

On Monday 5/2/07 the Flanders Culture Awards 2006 were distributed in the Flemish Opera House in Ghent. The Brussels Jazz Orchestra was awarded the prize in the music category.
